A solid day of concrete work at the Thunder Centre!

Our team and @michielicustom were on site repairing concrete that had heaved, bringing the area back to a safe, level and finished condition.

Another job done right. 💪

Built to perform in every season 💪

We partnered with IronHouse to install a TMG 50 x 40 truss container shelter, giving them a durable, reliable structure for year round use. From foundation to final install, our team handled every detail to make sure it was done right.

Another great project wrapped up and in the books for the SRL team!

Big month for the SRL crew as we wrap up summer and head into the fall season 🍂

We’ve got multiple projects on the go right now, and this is just a snapshot of what’s happening across our sites.

From prefabricated shelters to concrete and new builds, every project moves forward with the same focus on quality and communication.

Different projects, same standard. Looking forward to bringing each of these across the finish line!

Every solid finish starts with a precise foundation, and our team is making sure everything is set right before the concrete hits the ground.

Looking forward to bringing this entrance to life for our client.

Every great build starts below the surface!

This week we prepped the site for a backyard build and installed all essential utilities, making sure everything is set up right from the ground up.

Next, we move into footings and framing… where this backyard transformation really begins to take shape.

From trade school to leading crews on site, Derek

From trade school to leading crews on site, Derek has built his career on hard work, consistency, and a passion for the craft.

After starting in the trades program at Confederation College, he’s spent the last 11 years developing his skills, with the past 4 years as a key part of the SRL team. Today, he’s one of our most dependable foreman.

Framing is where Derek thrives. It’s the part of the job he enjoys most and where his experience really shows.

As a foreman, he takes pride in keeping projects running smoothly — making sure work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard.

What he enjoys most about working at SRL is the variety. Every project is different, bringing new challenges that keep the work engaging. Being part of our local carpenters union also provides him strong support through training, benefits, and long-term security.

Outside of work, Derek spends his time camping, fishing, golfing (he’ll tell you he shoots a 120), and learning French. On site, you’ll find him with his DeWalt tools, leading from the front.

Keep up the great work Derek, we're glad to have you a part of the SRL team!

Last week, we showed you where quality starts. This week, you see it come to life.

With the prep done right, this backyard patio is officially poured. Every step from regrading to drainage to forming led to this moment, and it shows in the finish.

We don’t just pour concrete. We build it right from the ground up.

Thanks to @michielicustom and his crew for giving us a hand on this pour!
